Getting started

Three steps, and none of them is a sales call.

Download and run it

One installer. No Vulkan SDK, no runtime to chase, no Python environment. It comes up on an empty scene with a Welcome screen rather than a demo you have to clear away.

Open something you already have

Drag a file in — any of the formats on the formats page. The free Viewer opens all of them, and nothing about that ever expires.

Turn on the trial when you want the tools

An email address starts 14 days of Studio: every feature, no card, no hardware fingerprint. When it ends the app quietly returns to the Viewer — it does not lock, and nothing you made becomes unopenable.

Not a cut-down subset — the complete feature set, including ray-traced rendering, splat authoring and photogrammetry. Showing you the whole product is the entire point of a trial.

  • No card. An email address, from inside the app.
  • No hardware fingerprinting. We read no serial numbers and no MAC address.
  • A soft landing. When it ends you are on the free Viewer — not a lock screen, and every scene you made still opens.

Before you install

The practical questions.

What are the system requirements?
  • Windows 10 (64-bit) or Windows 11
  • Any Vulkan 1.3 capable GPURay tracing and DDGI need a GPU with hardware ray-query support; everything else runs on the shadow-mapping floor, which is the guaranteed fallback on any Vulkan device.
  • Quad-buffer 3D displays, side-by-side output, and any OpenXR headset. None of it is required — the app runs mono.
  • No Vulkan SDK, no runtime, no Python, no CUDA. The toolchain is vendored; you need a GPU driver.
Is there a macOS or Linux build?
Not today. The application is Windows-only, and the honest reason is that the stereo output paths it is built around — quad-buffer professional 3D displays in particular — live on Windows. If this is a blocker for a real deployment, tell us; it changes the calculation.
How do updates work?
The app checks for a newer release and tells you; it never installs anything behind your back or interrupts what you are doing. There is a Beta channel in Settings if you want fixes earlier, and it is a superset — a beta subscriber is always offered whichever build is newer.
What does it send back to you?
An update check, and a crash or bug report if you choose to send one. That is the entire list. No telemetry on what you open, no analytics on how you use it, and no hardware identifiers — a seat is a random installation id you can delete.
